Remember When Because there's no one else to hear He only has himself to talk to The only friends that still remain are memories And they talk about the old days Running faster than the Red Queen Trying desperately to stay in the same place And he's run that road before And the fool has lost his way Every line upon his face is a year he can't replace And the dream has gone away Though he can't go back again he can always think of then Remember When When he looks in to the mirror He sees a man who is much younger Than the man that everyone has left behind And he prides himself in knowing All the things that they forgot He has not lived the life he's led in his own mind But oh his road does wind And the fool has lost his way Every line upon his face is a year he can't replace And the dream has gone away Though he can't go back again he can always think of then Remember When Every step he makes it takes him two steps back Turning circles in his tracks Time is slipping through the cracks The past is here to stay Tomorrow's far away When he lives in yesterday And the fool has lost his way Every line upon his face is a year he can't replace And the dream has gone away Though he can't go back again he can always think of then And the fool has lost his way Every line upon his face is a year he can't replace And the dream has gone away Though he can't go back again he can always think of then Remember When

Something About You Everyone knows where you come, when you go 'Cause there's something about you All of your life it was so hard to hide that certain something about you Just when you think you've become an unknown That you might be alone There's a ring on the phone, 'cause Everyone wants what you got, it's a lot Yeah, it's something about you Some folks would give the world To be in your position But they don't know your life Can be just like a prison when you Flash them your smile in your usual style And they scream and they cry But you're all dead inside 'cause All that they see is who they want you to be And they're nothing without you There's no room for what you're doing I'm just human Don't understand why you look so sad This could be the best time you ever had Too bad this probably isn't going to last Please can I have your autograph They have a way to make you squirm when they say That they see something about you All you can do is hide away in your room In the gloom they can smell your perfume 'cause Their reason for life, besides the kids and the wife Is owning something about you Some folks would give the world To be in your position But they don't know your life Can be just like a prison when you Flash them your smile in your usual style And they scream and they cry But you're all dead inside 'cause Everyone wants what you got, it's a lot Yeah, it's something about you

The Other Side Rape me But don't forget to thank me on your way out Genius don't look one half as precious On your way down I'll play the part (just say the line) I'll give you all of what is mine I'm on the other side I'm on the other side Inside looking out for anyone Who comes along Reckless, an abandon state For one who's come and gone I'll cross the line (just watch your back) I'm fending off threat of attack I'm on the other side I don't know what it feels like To stand in your shoes I only know that when I run I look like you A lot like you Hate me But not unless you're hungry and you need a friend Genius doesn't burn it down Until the bitter end I'll make the call (just make the time) Why can't I see, I must be blind (We don't know you) I'm not myself (Well better you than someone else) If all I've made and have to show Sounds like the truth at least I'll know Then I'm on the the other side Yeah, I'm on the other side

Queen of Broken Hearts Meet the Queen of Broken Hearts She lives in a motorhome in my backyard And she knows very well that she runs the show With her scotch and her VCR She’s the Queen of Broken Hearts Says the Queen of Broken Hearts I don’t need a bigger kingdom or a faster car And maybe Prince Charming will come riding up If I wish upon a star She’s the Queen of Broken Hearts Her subjects wage a revolution praying for the evolution Of a mind full of confusion, yeah, oh yeah Trapped inside the castle walls Lock the door and maybe they’ll all go away And she wants to say off with all their heads But she can’t because she’d rather stay in bed Maybe next time she’ll take it all too far She’s the Queen of Broken Hearts Tell the Queen of Broken Hearts That we’ll meet at eleven on the boulevard And then maybe she’ll show and then maybe not But we won’t take it all that hard She’s the Queen of Broken Hearts Trapped inside the castle walls Lock the door and maybe they’ll all go away And she wants to say off with all their heads But she can’t because she’d rather stay in bed Maybe next time she’ll take it all too far She’s the Queen of Broken Hearts

Gimmie Some Truth I'm sick and tired of hearing things from Uptight short sided narrow minded hypocritics All I want is the truth, just give me some truth I've had enough of reading things By neurotic psychotic pigheaded politicians All I want is the truth, just give me some truth No short-haired, yellow-bellied Son of tricky dicky's Gonna mother hubbard soft soap me With just a pocket full of hopes Money for dope, money for rope No short-haired, yellow-bellied, Son of tricky dicky's Gonna mother hubbard soft soap me With just a pocket full of hopes Money for dope, money for rope I'm sick to death of seeing things from Tight-lipped condescending mama's little chauvinists All I want is the truth, just give me some truth I've had enough of watching scenes from Schizophrenic egocentric paranoiac primadonnas All I want is the truth just give me some truth No short-haired, yellow-bellied, Son of tricky dicky's Gonna mother hubbard soft soap me With just a pocket full of hopes It's money for dope, money for rope I'm sick to death of hearing things from Uptight short sided narrow minded hypocritics All I want is the truth, just give me some truth I've had enough of reading things By neurotic psychotic pigheaded politicians All I want is the truth, just give me some truth

about

Here it is, my first solo release in 15 years - The Other Side. The "other side" can mean a lot of things - a different point of view, the end of an ordeal, the after life - and all those ideas can be found throughout this record.

Actually, many of these songs were recorded around the time of my last record An Axe To Grind. But I had a chance to refurbish and replace many of the original performances and they have found a brand new life. It's less about guitar hero and more about the song. But make no mistake, it's BIG! And I've thrown in a cover of John Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth" ta boot.
